Defense against a double wrist grab
- Drop into a cat stance, pulling the opponent slightly forward to compromise their balance.
- Attack the the opponent’s groin with a front kick, as an atemi.
- Break the opponent's grip with inside or outside wrist releases.
- Be sure to practice both versions.
- Step forward and wrap your hands around the opponent’s neck and pull them down into a knee kick to their chin.
- Intermediate students and advanced students can include a bonus double tate-shutō strikes to both sides of their neck as you reach in for the neck grab.
