Defense against a pursuit punch, haymaker, or knife slash
- Inside 7-3, with an outside shutō block that slides into a grasping block.
- If the attacker is armed, it is imperative that you retain control of the hand holding the knife.
- If the opponent is unarmed, you can substitute a cross-body block.
- Ippon seoi-nage.
