Defense against a downward club attack

  • 7-3 outside with an outside shutō block.
  • Execute a simultaneous (Kūsankū) pressing block, and low-level tate-shutō strike to the inner thigh.
  • Reap. Trap the arm controlling the club as the opponent falls.
  • Finish the opponent with a stomp kick
