Defense against a knife stab to the abdomen

  • 7-3 inside, raising your same-side hand up to the opposite-side ear, as though you were going to throw a makkikomi-shutō. Snap a backfist strike into opponent’s inner wrist.
  • If opponent still has the knife, same-side grab their wrist.
  • Shift in and reverse punch to any open vital areas.
