Defense against a pursuit punch
- Step your same-side foot straight back into a full-side-facing with an opposite-side inside shutō block.
- Perform a simultaneous (Kūsankū) same-side grasping block to the opponent’s wrist and a makkikomi-shutō to the side of their neck.
- Neck circle takedown, and follow-up with a stomp kick to their floating ribs.
