Defense against an over-arm bear hug, from behind, with a knife to your chest

  • Grab the wrist holding the knife, and simultaneously step your opposite-side foot back with a rear elbow strike, to create some space.
  • Continue twisting, and duck under the opponent’s arm to escape the hold.
  • Pull the opponent’s hand towards you, forcing them to stab themselves.
