Defense against a rear mug, with a knife held to your throat
- Same-side grab the end of the knife. Turn your head away from the knife.
- Twist in the direction of the knife tip (i.e., away from the opponent’s elbow) to stab the opponent in the chest with their own knife.
- Duck under the opponent’s arm and step behind them, to slide out of the rear mug.
- Apply a hammerlock.
